Investigations

HFK prepares independent reports for banks and other lending institutions on a company’s financial affairs and restructuring options.

Receiverships

As receivers and managers we place considerable importance in understanding and pursuing the objectives of our appointers. We are proactive in managing the assignment, always taking a commercial approach to maximising the return to the secured creditor. We have extensive experience in operating many businesses and expert knowledge in a number of industries. Receivership has a history of producing positive results – a receiver is empowered to carry on the business and will often achieve a better price by selling the assets as a going concern – at the same time saving jobs.

Liquidations

As liquidators we will take positive steps to achieve the best outcome for all creditors. Company liquidations are often initiated by the directors when they find that their company is insolvent. In such situations directors may attract a significant personal liability in continuing to trade – in such instances early advice from our insolvency team should be sought. We also assist in the restructuring of shareholders affairs either for commercial or tax reasons via a solvent liquidation.

We also accept Court appointments where creditors have initiated the winding up of a company.

Liquidators have considerable powers of investigation and can reopen transactions that have favoured particular creditors or where assets have been sold under value.

Voluntary Administrations

As Administrators or Deed Administrators we take pride in working with the company in a manner which maximises the opportunity for the company and its creditors to move forward.
