Lynda Smart - Consultant -  BCom CA


Lynda has 15 years experience in investigation and forensic accounting work. 

She has worked on a number of investigations and projects for government departments such as the Securities Commission, Retirement Commission, Family Court and Insolvency and Trustee Service. In addition to this work Lynda also undertakes a number of fraud investigation and litigation support assignments. 

Our insolvency team benefits from having Lynda’s skills on hand to assist in the investigation of some of our more complex insolvency assignments and in claims against delinquent directors.

Lynda has gained experience both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. In the UK Lynda enjoyed working on a number of challenging, high profile forensic accounting assignments, firstly as a forensic accountant for the Special Investigations Unit of the UK Legal Aid Board and secondly leading a team of forensic accountants investigating disputes in relation to the Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak.

Lynda enjoys this challenging specialty and has assisted clients to settle disputes ranging from a few thousand dollars to several million pounds.
